Heritage Drone Instameet

Some times back (September 18) was held the first Mauritian Drone Instameet hosted by the Heritage Resorts in the south of the island. Being an avid dronist, I was thankful to be on the list of the guests and it was a full day of discovery, sharing and shooting. The day started very early in the morning with the meeting point at 7am at Heritage Awali Resort, and had to leave home much earlier!

Heritage Awali Resort

The day’s planning looked very promising with a “pied-dans-l’eau” breakfast soon after our arrival at the resort. The breakfast moment was literally in the shallow waters, ankle level, near the beach. I already knew some of the other guests and We enjoyed the gathering. Needless to say, when dronists meet, it will be the buzz in the air, with some early drone sessions and fly-by.

Heritage Le Telfair

Afterwards we walked towards the other neighbor and affiliated resort of Heritage Le Telfair to discover a little of the resort in a short but sweet moment since our next trip point would be at the Heritage Nature Reserve from there. Le Telfair is more of a colonial style luxurious structure.

Heritage Nature Reserve

We left the resort towards the nature reserve and thereon changed transport to an off-road vehicle. The off-road adventure was awesome and the nature reserve was a pure bliss. I very much enjoyed the waterfalls hidden in the reserve and the uphills. For those who want to enjoy a guided greenery tour, I would highly recommend the Heritage Nature Reserve. They also offer other very interesting activities, including buggies!

C Beach Club

After the awesome nature encounter, we headed back to Le Telfair and thereon headed towards the C Beach Club where we had lunch. The place was very cozy with a beach-style set-up and the food was excellent. After lunch we had some free time to ourselves where we roamed around discovering the resort and its amenities, and some others were entertained in some yoga classes… I preferred the wander activities.

Heritage Le Chateau

It was around early afternoon when we left the resort and headed towards Heritage Le Chateau for tea-time! And What a place! I love those architectures and the garden was such a wonder. It was like moving back in time during the days where you had tea with your little finger apart when holding your cup. La bourgeoisie of the contemporary era! Some well-spent time there and it was already nearing sunset when we moved out to one of the prestigious villas.

Heritage Villa Valriche

Some minutes ride and we were already at one of the villas of the resort sipping our cocktail and enjoying the sunset. The view was just astounding and the mood as the sun was getting down was chilling. As the horizon started to get darker, it was time to bid farewell and with thankful hearts we waved goodbye.
